Library Lending Regulations
Books are checked for a period of four (4) weeks. Videos, CD books, casettes, music cd's, cassette/book sets are checked out for two weeks
Adult and Juvenile Audio/Cassette books are checked out for two (2) weeks
Material may be renewed twice, if no reserves have been placed on them
Patrons who have material overdue for a period of more than three months will be
billed for the cost of the material, a processing fee of $5.00 per item PLUS any
fines due
A fine of $.10 per day per item will be charged on overdue material
NO books will be checked out to patrons who have fines totaling over $3.00
If patron checks out materials for another patron on their library card the
financial responsibility lies with the person to whom the card was issued.
Reference materials, magazines, and local history may NOT be checked out
Generally, there is no limit, except reason, on the number of materials which can be
checked out by a patron. Materials used for student assignments can be limited
or placed on reserve because of the libraries limited resources.
NEW PATRONS
The potential new patron must present TWO current proof of residency in Sheridan
County or the Golden Plains Library Federation before a card will be issued to
them. First time check outs are for a maximum of two books.
